If you're asking *why* it's included, the answer is probably historical,
because it's a soft support with no hardware dependencies like all of the
other soft channel device supports. You can #comment it out if you prefer
not to load the vxWorks symbol support because you never use it; just make
sure that your baseLIBOBJS file matches.
