We are considering an upgrade to our systems to use the Power PC range of VME CPU cards . So the question is which VME CPU cards do EPICS users use? Which are most compatible with the EPICS software?
I am successfully using EPICS on the RTEMS real-time operating system (open-source) on Motorola MVME23xx and most notably, on VGM series boards from Synergy Microsystems (G3 / G4). The latter (~30 units) will be used in production at SSRL (SLAC).
