The closest approximation I know of is Kurt Goetze's
([email protected]) pvMail program, which monitors a PV and sends email
to a preselected address (typically, the address of an email pager) when
the PV value satisfies preselected criteria. I'd guess the rest of the
job can be done by commercially available software, but I don't actually
know of software that does it.
