I have a Perl script, which does a variety of data base scanning tasks.
It takes as arguments
- one or more .db files or
- one or more IOC startup scripts or
- a file which contains a list of all our startup scripts
One of the scanning options is to look for dangling links, i.e. find
links pointing to a record, which doesn't exist in the set of db files.
At the moment it doesn't bother with field names in the links, just with
record names.
Is this what you are looking for?

....that does the following:
(1) Take dbd file and a (set of) db file(s) as argument
(2) Compute a list of all (db & ca) link definitions that are not
strictly internal, i.e. have a target PV that is not the field of one of
the records specified in the (set of) db file(s)
It should run on the development platform (i.e. not an IOC).
?
