Subject: Strange encoder behaviour

Hi!

I'm using the OMS VME58-4E motor controller card and I control the motor with an encoder present. The encoder behaves very well. The problem occurs, when I take the power from the VME crate. Then the encoder stops working. I have to disconnect and reconnect the encoder cables to the IO58 module. Then it works as normal.

This problem does not occur at soft nor hard reboot. Only when completely powered down.

I use AMO PMK-02-256 incremental encoder.

Does anyone recognise this problem?

br

Rok
