Waveform markers on MEDM Cartesian plots

I have an application which uses a waveform analysis record to compute 
statistics of a portion of a waveform.  The attached .pdf file shows a 
technique that can be used to select the region of interest using standard 
MEDM controls.  I thought this might be of interest to others so I'm posting 
it here.
