With Tornado 2.2.1, the README for the MVME5100 BSP has:
"RELEASE 1.2/2: Tornado 2.2
Verified mvme5106/MCP755 support . . .
RELEASE 1.2/1
Added support for mvme5110/MPC7410 ("Nitro") CPU . . ."
so I wouldn't expect this to be an issue.
For what it's worth, we have our first MVME-5110 on order, with plans to
purchase additional 5110s in the coming months. We will be using VxWorks
5.5.1 and EPICS 3.13.10 (3.14.x under consideration). We still have a
number of mv167s (VxWorks 5.4.2, EPICS 3.13.10) but it will be a while
before they can be phased out and replaced with PPCs.
