Excellent! To really make it an EPICS experience, shouldn't
you have displayed the image on an EDM screen, rather than a
custom application (i.e. along with the camera controls which
are also presumably managed via EPICS)?

Subject: I see the light (with epics)
First light on new SLS beamline X05LA !
http://www.sls.psi.ch/controls/general/first_light_4.jpg
The image was captured using a firewire camera (point grey flea),
controlled from a PC running 3.14.4 on Linux. The image was transmitted
over channel access to a client on a standard beamline console.
This device support for firewire cameras was first developed for
Diamond, and is now also used on sls beamlines.
