JCA is a set of interfaces allowing to "plug" CA implementation and until recently only JNI implementation exitsts.
We developed a pure java implementation of a CA client called CAJ (Channel Access in Java), which will "plug" into the JCA - this means all the applications will require only 1 line of change (due to current design) to make it work with CAJ. Also CAJ can (and probably will) be included in the next JCA release (2.2).
We expect to release CAJ soon. We want to do some more thorough testing before doing so :)
