Hello Nick,
I don't have the mvme2400 distribution; but for the mvme2100 and mvme5100
the $WIND_BASE/target/config/mv[2100/2400/5100].h files have to be modified
and the BSP's rebuilt in order to change the VME AM's.
Using the mv5100.h file as an example, the default VME AM's
are set to non-privileged access through the VAL_LSI[0/1/2/3]_CTL
definitions in mv5100.h. To change the VME AM from non-privileged to
supervisory change LSI_CTL_USR to LSI_CTL_SUP in the
VAL_LSI[0/1/2/3]_CTL definitions.
Hope this helps,
Ron Sluiter

I just had a problem swapping a system from a Heurikon board to a PPC
mvme2400.
It turned out that I had a VME board (VMIC4514) that responded to either
supervisory or user A16 I/O, but couldn't be set to respond to both. It
was set to respond to supervisory mode I/O because that is what I thought
all VxWorks BSP's used. However, this worked with the Heurikon
board, but didn't work with the PPC.
Has anyone seen this before. Does anyone have a hint as to the bit of the
Motorola BSP I have to change to make it use supervisory VME access?
I apologise that this is really a VxWorks question, but I often find the
tech-talk list a lower bandwith option with equally good results.
Cheers,
