Geoff,

there is a solution that was initially designed by Eric Norum, with some
changes from SLAC - here's a talk that Steph Allison was giving at the
LANL meeting earlier this year:

Apart from that I just remember that the SLAC changes were to be
integrated into the APS sources and that Janet Anderson took over.

but admittedly the package itself didn't make it to the download area
(yet?!).
