Re: dm and edm problems with CA gateway

A little more more info (don't have time right now to set up a 
simplified test):

a) I haven't managed to reproduce the error by just wiggling  a slider 
back and forth. Had to press-move-release several times.
b) the error happens when I write to a soft channel, so there is no 
asynchronous or other device support involved.
