Re: epics on ecos
Hi,
We are assisting on a project to test rf modules and
one of the groups
already has a pc104 system running ecos. Instead of changing
their
software they wanted to see if they could adapt EPICS.
The build
scripts have been configured and one of the engineers familiar
with ecos
is working on the osi portion.
Perhaps they want to port the client software to
EPICS, too ?
I thought there is a RTEMS BSP for the Diamond
Systems
Prometheus - the PC/104 x86 boards (??).
Perhaps a third option is to purchase the mvme2100 borad.
Mark River mnetioned that it costs around 1.5k.
It is limited to 32MB RAM, which
might be enough for your
application. EPICS/RTEMS supports mvme2100, mvme2306/7
and mvme5500.
And many other VME CPU boards. -- Kate
