I would like to get the Process identifier of my ioc software in one
process variable.
In bash there is the $$ environment variable.
Is there a simple way to get the PID of the running IOC ?
I am running all of my IOC on linux OS.
So I need to create a registar function?
If so how can I return the value in an epics environment variable?
THanks,
