the past. If the instrument isn't warming up nobody has to go and check
the compressor/chiller even if the temperature was above alarm limit at

I missed that ... :)
>From my point of view Alarm thread-server-client is not responsible for
that. Main goal is to collect (don't miss) any alarm, look which alarm
came first, does statistics and so on. Any action must be done from
standard engineering control screen. Why? Because operator needs to open
screen and look on depending and connecting parameters, finds source of
problem and then does acknowledge. So acknowledge must come from
standard engineering control screen.
No acknowledge in Alarm thread-server-client link?
