 OpenMotif was not included in Fedora Core 6 released in Oct. 2006, as
expected. But all is not lost yet. EPICS R3.14.8.2 can be compiled and
executed using Fedora Core 6.
 I installed "ALL OPTIONS" when installing Fedora Core 6. Installation
took a little less than 6 Gigabytes. The only thing else needed is
OpenMotif.

I took the following two RPM files from Fedora Core 5 installation CD4
and installed them on Fedora Core 6:

openmotif-2.3.0-0.1.9.2.i386.rpm

openmotif-devel-2.3.0-0.1.9.2.i386.rpm
 Next I compiled EPICS R3.14.8, then the facility code, and executed the
facility code. It works!
 This is installed and running on a Dell PowerEdge 2650 development
computer with Redundant RAID 5 disk controller at the Unitary Plan Wind
Tunnel at NASA-Langley Research Center.
