Harley:
The IRMIS RDB application suite stores time stamped EPICS process
variables, along with their DBD definitions. A background crawler
updates the RDB after each IOC reboot.
At the APS, we use MySQL; other laboratories have run the application on
Oracle. Currently we have ~|550,000 PVs.
The latest tarball can be found at the EPICS web site, click on the
IRMIS tab.

I have an Epics database used for displaying a fairly large numeric dataset with a refresh time of roughly 30 seconds. I'd like to create a time based log in a relational database, preferably MySql. The old version of this system is using VSystem and VLog, which works but has bad performance when doing queries.
Are there any premade utilities for logging changes of an Epics dataset to MySql? Or could someone point me in the right direction for where to find tools for logging to a relational database?
Thanks,
Harley.
