Hi Heinrich,
have you edited the fonts.alias file, as described here:
http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/EpicsDocumentation/ExtensionsManuals/MEDM/MEDM.html#Fonts
It's been some time since I last used MEDM, but I remember I had to do
that in order to get a decent looking screen.
Regards,
Gasper

Hi
I'm having trouble with MEDM and fonts. Sometimes it seem to get it
right (not today) to load scalable fonts and then I can actually get big
fonts working.
But mostly something goes wrong and then everything is pt8 or something
and it looks really crappy :)
I think the -local option worked another day, but not today.
What am I missing?
Do I need a font server? Do I need to install some fonts?
Or setup aliases somehow? The MEDMFonts.htm page on aps.anl.gov seems to
be for windows? I have no Exceed system or package for that?
Do I need to install medm in some specific way? (currently I just made a
simlink to the medm exec in /usr/local/bin :)
Thank you
-Heinrich
