Hi Bill,
I think you should try the new Modbus module I wrote. It may need a small enhancement for Wago support, because I think the address to read from is offset from the address to write to. I gathered that from the NSLS source code, but I don't have the documentation to verify it. I had anticipated that, and there is a device string in the configuration command that can be used to identify what kind of PLC it is.

Is the device support for wago controllers from the NSLS detector dev
group still most current ?
Does any one have a different small controller that they like better ?
I need only basic BO/I and AI support at the moment.
