Your numbers (except for the async get test which indeed looks bad) are very similar to what I got on the SVGM board (IIRC CPU similar to mvme2700). The mvme5500 is quite a bit more powerful so you can't expect to get the same performance.
What exactly is the catime performance on the beatink BSP ?
