If you are running 2 instances of the sequencer you need to build them with the recursive option, +r. If you don't then it uses static variables and the 2 sequencers will interfere.

Subject: sequencer cross talk!
I have 2 identical pieces of equipment (modulators).
On one computer, I start 2 IOCs, one for each modulator.
Each IOC consists of a stream/asyn driver and a sequencer.
In that configuration, it works well.
Now instead of running 2 IOCs, I decide to run only one with both
instances. ( 2 drivers and 2 sequencers)
To my surprise, with this configuration the sequencers interfere with
the PVs of the other modulator. (Note that the PVs are almost the same,
they are just prefixed differently)
Clearly in the merged IOC, the control software/sequencer doesn't work
correctly.
Has anybody already seen something like this?
Any clue?
