Jiro,
As of LabVIEW V8.6, using Linux LabVIEW, networked Shared Variables
may be read from a Windows LabVIEW host, but cannot be created or
hosted. This is one of many restrictions one finds using LabVIEW
under Linux: NI only implements the core LabVIEW functionality under
Linux and almost none of the add-on LabVIEW modules or features are
supported.
I do not know if this situation is changing in the as yet unreleased
LabVIEW 2009 version,
Regards,
Philip
