Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System

Hi Patrick,
One of the features of the EPICS relational database tool IRMIS is a PV
Crawler (Perl script) that parses all IOC st.cmd files and dbload files
to retrieve and store a comprehensive list of PVs that are currently
running in production. IRMIS GUI interfaces provide the means to sort
and view PVs by their various attributes.
IRMIS version 2 is in use at the Advanced Photon Source, and IRMIS
version 3 is currently being designed at Brookhaven National Laboratory
(Don Dohan, et. al., [email protected]).

Hi,
I was wondering if there was anyway to get a list of all the process
variables currently loaded in all the IOCs. I read that when a request
for a particular process variable is made, each IOC gets the request
and has to look in its databases to see if it contains it. Is it
possible to instead have it return all the process variables it does
have?
I was also wondering if anyone has had trouble getting the sound to
work when compiling the alarm handler on Linux?
Thank you,
Patrick
