Hi

With GPIB and the old GPIB support I could configure a device such that it 
sends a service request to the IOC whenever it comes online (= has been 
powered on). At this point I used to check if all the device's settings are 
correct, and if necessary change them.

Does anyone know whether streamDevice over Asyn supports (unsolicited) 
service requests (via GPIB or VXI-11)? If not, how difficult would it be to 
add this? Or, should I do this directly via asyn?
