EDM is built using openMotif on 32-bit architecture.

I don't remember the exact details, but I do recall spending a day or
two debugging EDM code after upgrading from Fedora Core 6 to Fedora 8.
EDM version that was rock-solid under FC6 would segfault regularly in
F8. In the end I traced it to the difference between openMotif 2.2.3
and 2.3.0
Since that experience I always compile a local version of openMotif
from ftp://ftp.ics.com/openmotif/2.2/2.2.3/src/openMotif-2.2.3.tar.gz
and build EDM against that library.
