Hi Ramu,
I think you need to be much more specific about the problem. When you say a "panel dissappeared" what exactly do you mean? Is medm crashing? If so, have you captured a core file, or run it under gdb?
What happens if you run medm on the Fedora Core 8 machine, but display the windows on another completely different machine? Do they still dissappear?
I really doubt that the problem is with medm version or the EPICS version. I think the problem is much more likely to be with X or Motif on your Fedora machine.
I am running medm on a Fedora Core 9 machine. medm is version 3.1.2.2 and is built with EPICS 3.14.8.2. It has been running for a long time with no problems.
Are you using OpenMotif or LessTif? Which version?

Subject: MEDM Panels disappeared frequently on Fedora Code 8 32 bit version...
Hi All,
Following are different versions of EPICS Base and MEDM for which
the MEDM panels getting disappeared every few hours on Fedora Core 8 32
bit operating system. There are quite a few MEDM panels that we are
using and all of those panels are getting disappeared, which is causing
lot of inconvenience.
1) EPICS Base 3.14.11 with MEDM versions 3.1.1, 3.1.2.1, and 3.1.4
2) EPICS Base 3.14.9 with MEDM versions 3.1.1, 3.1.2.1, and 3.1.4
3) EPICS Base 3.14.6 with MEDM version 3.0.3, which was working version
on Redhat 8. Last year, we migrated all our software to Fedora 8 32 bit
version.
Could anyone point me to the correct versions of EPICS Base and MEDM,
which works fine.
Best Regards,
Ramu
