for example:

D-TACQ markets multi-channel simultaneous digitizers which include EPICS 
running on the embedded arm-linux subsystem.

This is the standard EPICS base, with addition of some custom device 
support and a lot of scripting to set up the initial database. (200-odd 
PV's). It works well..
