Actually, regarding multiple soft IOCs on the same host at the SNS,
I don't think we have any severe Channel Access issues.
We no longer set the EPICS CA SERVER PORT to a unique number.
The only port-related worry is the procServ telnet port:
Each soft IOC is run under procServ, and those procServ instances need a
unique port so that you can telnet to the IOC.
