Hi Sasha and Xihui,

That's one thing. Another is that the legend color changes as well. That may not be the worst thing but it happens.

However, in the SNS version of CSS, I get error popups when I try to define rules for the XY Graph widget. A lot of java null errors appear. This doesn't happen for other rules I implemented elsewhere.

Hi Xihui,

I think making a trace the same color is background is not very good. Because while being invisible to human eye the trace will be considered when autoscaling Y axis.

Thanks,
Sasha

Hi Pawel,

I didn't give user the possibility to show/hide a trace, but it is possible. To add a "Visibility" property to every trace will make the property sheet longer, so I have to be careful. I think you can set the trace color same as the plot area background color to hide the trace. If there are more people asking the same function, I will add the "Visibility property to every trace.

Thanks,
Xihui

Subject: CSS XY Graph show/hide traces

Hello,

Is it possible to dynamically show/hide traces according to some flag?

I have a maximum of four traces I want to display on an XY Graph but it
should be possible for the user to switch to 1 or 2 instead of 4.

Is there a way to do it dynamically in CSS or should I just write values
higher (lower) than the maximum (minimum) values of the given trace to
the PV that I don't want to be visible?

Cheers,
