Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Dear all,
As "usual" in February (the 2nd time actually...), the ITER distribution has been updated with a new version of the so-called "CODAC Core System".
Our web page: https://www.iter.org/org/team/chd/cid/codac/coresystem
has been updated with a new version of the source tarball and of the overview document (+ releases notes and a presentation).
In this version, you can find the Linux drivers and the device support for 2 N.I. boards: the PXI-6259 (a multi-function data acquisition board) and the PXI-6682 (a IEEE-1588 compliant timing and synchronization board).
The ITER extensions to Control System Studio, such as the addition of PostgreSQL interface, are already available in SourceForge, so you shouldn't use the tarball for that.
As described in the overview document, we are developing an integrated environment in which many components (configuration tools, build commands and PLC communications) are linked together and somehow interdependent but we'll be happy to collaborate with any institute interested in sharing some of our components.
Thank you Dirk, Kay, Matthias, Pam, Steve, Xiaoqiang, Xihui... and all the code (and doc) authors!
Franck Di Maio, for the ITER CODAC team
