I think I must have missed the original message that this is a follow-up
to.
But if you use autosave to save the motor's DVAL and OFF, then on reboot
the RBV will be set to the correct value.

The motors that are an issue have no encoders or limit switches, so
nothing for me to reference. Does anyone have a slick solution for
"restoring" a motor's RBV? Perhaps, something like setting the offset
to
the last RBV after a reboot or crash.
