Subject: EPICS Codeathon 2011 (Zombie event)

The 2011 EPICS Codeathon was originally planned to be taking place this week,
but we had to cancel it because of budgetary uncertainties at the DOE Labs.
Those have now passed, so I'm bringing the event back from the dead.

The fourth annual EPICS Codeathon will be held at Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory in Berkeley, California from the 22nd to the 26th of August.
Thanks to Eric Norum and his group for agreeing to host us despite the date
switch.

As with previous Codeathons this event is open for developers who are
experienced with EPICS, to spend the week writing code that advances the
purposes of the collaboration. The developments don't have to target EPICS
Base, but they must be projects that are useful across multiple EPICS sites.
If you have specific enhancements to Base that you want to work on, please
discuss them on the core-talk list in advance of the meeting to ensure that
they will be accepted.

There will be several experienced core developers present to help solve
problems, advise on direction and review any new code that is to be merged
into Base. New code that is developed for EPICS Base at this event must
target the 3.15 series or later, the 3.14 series is only receiving bug fixes
now.

Some more details can be found at the URL below:
	http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/meetings/codeathon-11/index.php

We will be limited by the size of the room to at most 20 people, so if you are
interested in coming please email me as soon as possible to reserve a place.
Preference will be given to those who already signed up for the earlier dates,
but I still need those who I haven't already corresponded with to confirm that
they will be coming.

Thanks,

- Andrew
