Not sure if this will be any use to you, given that I don't see anything about
complex input data:
http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/modules/soft/waveProc/index.html
The waveProc module pre-dates the inclusion of the aSub record in Base and
includes a copy of the genSub record type, plus the spectrum and waveAnl
records. They might give you some ideas at least.
