I would like to know what is the most common low level backup software in use in the EPICS community.
I currently use sddscasr and am contemplating moving away from it.
Is casr still actively used?
what woudl you recommend?

I would love to find a backup system with a shell interface (text based).
I will take care of building the GUI with python/Qt.

Because I live close to SLAC (palo alto), I would like to know what they are using there
to maybe bring someone to set it up at my site.

Thanks for the info,
