I've been using 2008 Professional Edition. I assume 2010 works as well.

All,
I would like to build target architecture windows-x64 on Windows 7. I
understand VISUAL C++ 2010 EXPRESS does not support buildnig 64 bit
binaries. So is Visual Studio 2010 Professional the recommended edition?
