This has been the case with Xming also on Windows XP. There is nothing
in the configuration which allows to change this behaviour. (Having said
this, we are using the public domain version of Xming, which is a much
older release than the commercial one.).
We mostly use XWin32 on Windows systems which does not exhibit this
problem, but there is another annoyance: When you middle-press on a
widget to see the control PV, the PV name disappears after less than a
second.
