I don't see the same error given in that message, I don't think that's the 
same problem (unless you haven't given us all the error messages you're 
seeing from the IOC).

There are several possible causes for this kind of problem, ranging from a 
programming error, an out-of-date build issue, to a nasty bug in some other 
(possibly completely unrelated) softwrae that you're including in this IOC.  
If you know that this device support works properly on other IOCs or at other 
sites and you haven't made any changes to it I would recommend that you start 
by doing a
    make rebuild
in your IOC application's top level directory, and if that doesn't fix it try 
rebuilding all of the support modules that the IOC depends on (in dependency 
order) followed by rebuilding the IOC application again.  That should fix any 
problems with out-of-date builds.

If that doesn't help, ask again here and tell us more about the device 
support that the record is using.
