Yes, Uwe Flechsig at PSI has successfully used the GX1050 with both GigE ports, and obtained basically the theoretical bandwidth of 2 GigE connections running in parallel.  Here is a message he sent me on March 6, 2012.

Dear Mark,
areaDetector and bonding works now- I managed to get the 
maximum of the GX1050: 113 Hz, 1024x1024pixel, 16 bit 
without any dropped packests.

just for your info
I struggled a lot with dropped packets (same for 
areaDetector and SampleViewer) and tried a lot of options 
without success- I changed the PC and it works the limit at 
the old system was probably the PCI bus with PCI Express it 
works.
