Do you have a pointer to the userAve record? The compress record (circular buffer) which is part of the EPICS base can do exactly the same. -- Emmanuel

Hi Chris,
If you are scanning for the TEMP say 10Hz you can use userAve record
to average over the last 100 or so TEMP records and use that userAve record
for the calcout.
