Subject: New areaDetector plugin: adPython

Hi all,

I have just made an initial release of a new areaDetector plugin: adPython. adPython allows user python code to be run on each NDArray object the plugin receives, optionally creating a new NDArray object to pass out as well as the ability to stamp attributes on the outgoing array directly from the python code. Although I wrote it for prototyping machine vision applications, the performance of the numpy and opencv python libraries has been almost identical to calling the underlying C functions directly.

Download link and documentation:

Any feedback much appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom Cobb
