Dear All,

Thank you for the help.

Following things worked for me up to 16384 Chars.

record(waveform, "testWaveRecord")
{
    field(DESC, "testWaveRecord")
    field(NELM, 16384)
    field(FTVL, CHAR)
  }

use
caput -S   to write
caget -S   to read
