hi, Jeong Han Lee:

If your power supply has only analog interface, you can consider about using PLC to control power supply. For example, use one Yokogawa PLC on ground level platform (if you use RTOS module, dedicated soft IOC can be ignored), several PLCs on other high voltage platform, PLCs can communicate by FA-LINK fiber. Surely you can choose other brand of PLCs.

Best wishes

Dear All,

We are designing a control system, which is, of course, based on
EPICS, for ECR Ion Source. There are three electrical potentials present
in our configuration. The first one is definitely the ground, the second
is at 45kV, and the other is at 75kV above the ground.

All devices and equipment, HV controller, vacuum, and so on, which we
want to monitor, are located at each HV potential.

A naive thought, which I have right now, is that MOXA NPort 56XX,
Ethernet Switch with Fiber Optic links, and EPICS IOC running on Linux
Platform should be enough.

Do you have any example which I can follow within EPICS collaboration?

Any suggestions and recommendation about HWs, designs, and others are
welcome always.

   Thanks,
   Han
