Yes, DESY also seems to have a redundant setup for the CA Gateway.
I have not been able to try it myself, but Matthias Clausen <matthias.clausen@desy.de> is able to provide more details.

I often heard about the benefits of EPICS, like free, opensource, 

scale-able, lots of users, etc.

But I know every coin has two sides. Someone told me, EPICS

cannot offer node redundancy, is it true?
