Dear colleagues,

We have reached the limit that we can accept for the EPICS V4 training at the upcoming collaboration meeting, thus it is not available any more in the registration page.

Thank you for the interest and apologies for those who would have liked to join but will now miss the chance.

We will contact the interested people separately, but for now please take a look at the following pre-requisites for the course:

1)      Should have a reasonable knowledge of EPICS V3 (i.e. no total beginners). In particular should have some idea of the EPICS build system, catools, IOCs, records, channel access etc.

2)      Should have a reasonable knowledge of C++ and of Linux command line (e.g. make).

3)      Should be prepared to attend the whole day (i.e. not turn up in the afternoon and ask for a recap of the whole morning).

4)      Should bring a laptop to run the examples and do the exercises.

5)      We will use Linux for the course. We are investigating the possibility of supplying a virtual machine for those without Linux.
