You shouldn't forget epicsQt, which I find almost as easy as MEDM.

Hi Pilkyu Jung,

Bad point: medm is old, is based on obsolete software (motif), and is no longer being actively maintained
Good point: medm is very simple to get running and has translators for adl files to all other display managers.

Bad point: CSS is complex, rather difficult to install.
Good point: CSS is being actively maintained, has many more features than medm

So based on the good and bad points one decides which is best.

We may switch to caQtDM which is actively maintained, but much less complex than CSS.

First of all, your favor was best for solving my problem while I work with EPICS. I appreciate you.

And this time, I am sending you e-mail because of a question.

These days, I am using CS-Studio as OPI. Also, I have used MEDM. There are some different between CSS and MEDM. But people still using MEDM or EDM.

This is my question.

Is there something benefit for using MEDM or EDM rather than using CSS(BOY)?
