YMMV, but IME it does /a lot/ better. The documentation of each fits on
a screen or two, and you can learn about each one as you go along. You
invoke them exactly if and when you have an actual need. Each has a
single dedicated purpose and it is easy to combine them and reason about
their interaction (if any). Their small code size means they are much
more easily reviewed for correctness and security. Their versatility
means they receive a lot more test coverage as people can and do use
them in a variety of situations.

This is just FUD. These utilities are all part of the standard
util-linux package and won't go away; some of them, like unshare, are
even quite new.
