I did not try EDM. I am willing to give it a shot since there is a recent request for help on that on tech-talk and I do occasionally run EDM to check the autoconvert output. Where are the official sources for EDM now? From: Pedersen, Ulrik (DLSLtd,RAL,LSCI) <ulrik.pedersen at diamond.ac.uk>
Thank you Mark!!! This is incredibly helpful! Did you or anyone else here on Tech-talk happen to have a go at building EDM on CentOS8? on behalf of Mark Rivers via Tech-talk <tech-talk at aps.anl.gov> Folks, I recently set up a new Centos 8 system with EPICS, synApps, and areaDetector (including ADAravis, ADEiger, and ADVimba). To do so I needed to install nearly 30 Linux packages. I have attached a Word document listing all of the packages
I needed to install, and also all of the other packages that were installed as dependencies. I thought this might save others some time in determining just what packages are needed when they run into errors building on new Linux installations.
