Hello,
On behalf of the epics core java group. I am pleased to announce that the epics 7.0.5 java release is
now available for use.
You can download the binaries and source code from github
supported for openjdk11 and openjdk8
supported for openjdk11 and openjdk8
or via maven
<dependency>
<groupId>org.epics</groupId>
<artifactId>epics-core</artifactId>
<version>7.0.5</version>
<type>pom</type>
</dependency>
The 7.0.5 release
- Bug fixes
- Additional support for VEnums
Important Note:
Oracle jdk 8 has reached eol. Redhat has promised to support
a redhat openjdk8 till 2023.
The 7.0.5 release consists of two sets of binaries one for
openjdk11 and another for openjdk8 (redhat). The two sets are distinguished with openjdk8 jars
identified with version numbers appended with "-j8". e.g. jca-2.4.4-j8 is the jca library for openjdk8.
We would appreciate feedback and support from projects still using openjdk8 who would like
future releases of the core libraries compatible with jdk8.
Thanks,
Kunal
