Hi Malte,
Using current 3.15 or EPICS 7, this database:
record (waveform, "wf") { field(NELM, "100") field(FTVL, "CHAR") field(INP, "so.VAL$") } record (stringout, "so") { field(VAL, "this is a string") }
does that job for me. Or did I get the problem wrong?
