You can use a seq record with DOL0 pointing to the bi record with the CP attribute. That will cause the seq record to process when the bi processes. The seq record can
implement a delay and then write to the bo record.

How do you implement a time delay in EPICS?
For instance, I have a bi that when I detect it, I need to output a bo a few seconds later.
